Possible diamond ?

I was sifting in high carbonated soil and my diamond detector went crazy on this now I know they are extremely inaccurate with raw diamonds

Examine it with the highest magnification you have available. Much diamond rough will exhibit "trigons" small overlapping triangles on the skin. Good luck.

Silly question but what is a diamond detector ? No joy from Google

It could easily be one. If it's from Mass. it would be an alluvial one brought down by the glaciers.
