Have you tried grinding any of that up and panning it? Gold forms an eagle in its natural state. If panned properly and there is gold in it, it will form an Eagle in the pan.
1. swirl pan vigorously to get all the heavies moving.
2. Rock pan gently 3 times in all four directions each, 3 towards both hands then 3 away from you and back again. (towards the left then to the right equals 1)
4 lightly swirl pan 3 times left to right then repeat right to left.
5 Tap bottom of pan in the center 3 times and you should see a golden eagle in the center
This takes practice but when you get the hang of it gold can never escape your eye.
I would take my sample from the center of the smallest eagle.
