Possible Pocketwatch Gold Rush Camp Find

I found this little baby in an area that had gold mining from the 1840's on. We have exclusive access to this property and continue to find more unique items on every visit. We are starting to piece together the mining activities and the location of dwellings on the property. This item was found in an area that we now believe had a home on it. Is this a part to a pocketwatch?
