Stumbled upon this. It’s definitely been worked. I don’t think that shows up as well in the pics. But you can tell it’s been chipped away. Found at what looked like a prehistoric tool-making site. Lots of flakes. Wanted to see what the experts think. I’m a novice in all things tools/artifacts/treasure.

Sorry for the bad pics. I’m a terrible photographer/bad with anything tech-related.

That looks like an igneous rock. Not likely a scraper unless it was used in a pinch. Gary
 

Is that Mount Kineo rhyolite? I don't see any finished edges so I don't think it's a tool. If found in context with work site debitage, most likely explanation would be an unfinished biface, most likely a reject due to some material flaw.
 

I’m in Arizona. To my knowledge we can only hunt for artifacts on private land, so aside from a small chunk of property I own, and a friend’s ranch, I’m somewhat limited.
 

Smart to ask cause you never know that's a cool find though
