Possible silver comb holder and maybe a sash buckle of some sort?

Found these at at 1846 house today.

One looks like an old silver comb holder. It's about 3 inches long.

The other might be a sash buckle or similar item. Appears that it was guilted.

I agree on both. With the length of the comb being shorter than some I think it may have been for facial hair.
