Possibly my Oldest Roman coin.

Been out 4 days this week on some land that l've searched many many times over the last 20 odd years. these days l usually call it a day after 4 hours or so (must be getting old) Signals are fewer and further between now and my finds pouch does not get as full. The results of four visits only gave me some lead and a few buttons plus the usual cartridge ends. and 3 coins from a wide span of the centuries.
1 Traders token. Frances Boyce of Outwell dated 1664.
2 Roman Denarius. D JUNIUS SILANUS from around 90 BC.
3. Cantill Potin . Continental Celtic from around 80 - 50 BC.

Had 2 Potins, which are rare outside of Kent, interesting you had one. Had any others?

Our oldest Roman is only 48BC, & a Republic is on the wish list, at least you give us a little more hope on that one - CONGRATS

My oldest roman coin is also a Junius Silanus, but yours is in way better condition.

They are very rare , and yes its my only Potin to turn up. (From Cambs) Hutch.
