Wow!

Thanks, Bob for posting this, and thank you all for your thoughts, prayers, and comments!
This is the first chance I've had to log in since we left home. Mrs. KD & I got a phone call last week and made a short notice road trip to a hospital in the great plains states. Our daughter gave us a good scare. They still aren't sure if it was a stroke or what they call a complicated migraine, but after several days in the stroke unit, she started to stabilize and get a little stronger. She came home with a walker due to weakness and poor range of motion on one side of her body, including foot drop and vision impairment. The initial tests also showed the possibility of a hole in her heart, but later tests ruled that out. It was quite a shock to see my previously healthy mid 30's girl needing a walker to get around.
We have been taking her to daily physical therapy and helping around the house with her kids. We are also working to try to get her weight back up to where it should be. She has been getting progressively stronger each day, and is now getting around most of the time without the walker when she is in the house.
I want to say that I am deeply moved by your thoughts, comments, and prayers. I really believe that they helped. I showed them to her when I logged on tonight, and she was moved, too. You are truly great friends, even though some of you I've yet to meet. God bless you all!
We'll stay here a while yet, but it's great to see that we are out of the woods as far as I can tell.
Thank you again - so much!

Neil
