Hit the roads for another silver huntin' trip this week. No amazing motherlodes sadly, but got enough silver to make the trip lots of fun. Also found one of the nicest tellers I have ever met. She sold me a partial bag and let me cherry pick a whole bunch of halves and dollar coins that she has been "trying to get rid of forever". Nothing good in them, but of course I bought all of them anyway to take it off her hands

Totals were:

[38] 40%s
[3] 90%s
[1] 1987 NIFC
[1] 1990 no FG

Also picked up my usual two boxes this week. One was a skunk (my second ever). The other had:

[12] 40%s
[1] 90%
[1] Ben

Merry Christmas and HH! :icon_santa:

Leave MY banks alone!! ;D

Nice score. :icon_thumleft:

Only your second skunk box ever? Really? If I remember correctly, my first 8 boxes produced 1 40%er. Even though we may be kinda near each other, our boxes sure aren't similar. I'd be doing all the boxes I could dump if they weren't so skunky around here. Thats what led me to "hitting the road." Its the only way I can find anything.

Your banks didn't have anything good in them ::)

I haven't really done that many boxes yet, I just started ordering them regularly maybe 2 months ago. I'm decently surprised by them so far though. The 2 skunk boxes I got have a different kind of code on the bottom than all of my other boxes, so I think they came from a different area somehow.

Good. You didn't get any of MY silver. ;D

Do you get those same yellow Loomis flat boxes that I get? Most of mine had a code stamped on them - 5568 if I remember correctly. My best box (22 keepers) had a date stamped on it, and it was only a couple of weeks "old" when I got it.

I just picked up $3,000 of halves from one of my branches today. Apparently they came in three bags. I was excited because I've heard that alot of good comes from them... but when putting them in my trunk I flattened out the bags a bit and didn't see one keeper in any of the three bags. I really don't want to be skunked with every bag and have to hand roll every single coin...

Yeah I get those same loomis boxes with the yellow string rolls. All of my good ones have a 4 digit code stamped on them, and the 2 skunks were date stamped with a CWI number. Sounds backwards from you lol.

Did you order those bags or did someone bring them in? Kinda sounds like a high volume CRHer dump. If you ordered them I would think there would at least be some keepers. They would be similar to getting boxes.

When most people on here talk about great bag finds, they are talking about the ones that fill up in lobby coin machines. See if you can find a bank with a coin counter, and have them call you when the bag fills up
