Last Tuesday,I spent 3 hours looking for a cellar in the heat, no luck. Got home, looked at my maps and realized I was probably a 100 yards away. It doesn't seem like much but at this time of year, you can be standing next to one in the woods and not see it.So I drove out today to try and find it. After 15 minutes,I came across a hole. Turned on the detector, no ground signals AT ALL! I will say I was a little depressed I wasn't even getting iron. About 30 feet away ,there was a big rock pile and I was wondering if it might be a cabin. Turned it on and in 2 swings, had a 70 on the Deus. 99.9% of the time , this is a pull tab. So I almost didn't dig it. If this wasn't in the woods, no way. It actually was a coin. British I think, someone will tell me. If I had to guess,a half cent of some sort or a kg farthing. Anyway, the front of this rock pile was about 20 by 20. I found a pewter button, flat button, what looks to be a melted button, small spoon bowl and a KG11, I think. The spoon is some strange material and it's made in a striped pattern. I'll have to go back in the fall or spring when I can really detect everything. 9C18CB60-C792-4D8D-8BD3-E31BD03C0BFB.webp4EE32E01-8BDF-477C-81D2-6AC8F9D1931D.webp7B4D8136-2882-4D66-8928-0026AA23C14C.webp06D3C458-5185-4A82-964E-1E14BEF32D79.webp12131194-F5B8-4A15-B689-1545AE12E534.webp89E6B762-640D-47B0-8171-7D1CBE703217.webp64419C22-993E-464E-97D8-4A8231805B63.webpA451A6AD-EA23-443C-9CBF-380938FAF3F6.webp7F7B8FD0-DDE5-49D3-8833-7C6F4E408589.webpC754EE94-A8CE-4F06-B2D0-D73216016BFA.webp

Nice!!!!! Congrats!!!!!

Congrat on some interesting coins. Those don't look familiar to me. I bet a lot more are to come in that spot.

they look like KG1 and KG2 halfpennies. Awesome finds!

Yes, the top one facing left is KG II and the one on the bottom is a KG1. Nice going.

Very nice old coppers, congrats! :occasion14:
