My sister found this on our hike this afternoon, and we have no idea what it is (if anything). So we were hoping that someone on here could help us identify it or give some SWAG?! image.webp

A little info: We found it at the highest point on our property, and overlooks two creeks and a ravine. The property is in Southern Missouri. We have found Native American artifacts as well civil war era relics, but nothing that resembles these.

Any help would be wonderful.

The one thing all maces and clubs share is a place to hold them when swinging.

Bits of old iron railing, fence or handrail?

Looks like what you have there is a some type of small pine or cedar tree that has die and mostly rotted away. The areas that look like spikes are were the limbs or branches would of been. That is what it looks like to me. I guess important question would be,, made of wood or metal?

My swag, possible early type of barbed wire. There were many many kinds, but not many caught on and stayed with us. The photo is just a few.
