Printing Plate

Hi all. Got out for a but in a new yard. My buddy was digging in his garden and found a 14k gold pocket watch so he thought I should try my giger counter as he called it. So I went over with just a few minutes to try and the first thing I found was a silver washington quarter wich gave me high hopes. Then a few clad pieces and some cut aluminum roof pieces. Then I found this cool printing plate. It was less than an inch deep just below the grass. Pretty cool It is First Prize Meat. Albany, NY Will be going back tomarrow to try some more.

Re: Printing Plate

Wow! That is super mega cool. I have found printing plates before, but never as neat as that one. I wonder why people call them Geiger Counters? A lot of people I know call my detector that too. It's like they think we are looking for Radioactivity. :tongue3:

Yep, Tobin's First Prize All Beef Franks! Loved them. Used to have a Tobin's plant in Rochester NY. Shame it went away! I'll have to do a reverse image on that block for the whole ad!

I couldn't get the reverse image to work so if you get it I would like to see it to.

Thanks Frank. Couldnt get it to work on my computer for some reason. I like it it is a neat find. Dont think it was in the ground very long due to its very shallow depth but my buddy didnt know anything about it. But the property was his mothers she moved on to bigger things in the sky last year and he got the land so she may have knew about it.
