I,ve started this extra topic because of this question.

Is it possible to mess up the detectors electonics abilities through winding the cable around detector handle wrong to reciever box
from coil?

no, you dont even have to rap it around it if u wanted, u could ducttape it along it if you wanted. the cord just passes the info

the ONLY way you could mess it up, is to rap it very loose.

it may cause your detector to be unstable, if it moves around, while swinging.

If your machine came with velcro straps( if not duck tape will work) Use one to hold the coil cable to the shaft aprox. 5 in. above the coil. Don't wrap the cable and make sure the cable is not being strained at the coil. Then run the cable straight up the shaft from the first velcro to just above the knurl nob ( tightening grip ) . And use the second velcro to hold the cable to the shaft.
Between the 1st velcro and 2nd one, the cable should not be wrapped around the shaft. Wrap it around the shaft only above the 2nd velcro up to where it plugs in. Probably will wrap about 6 to 8 times.
This will make yours more stable. It has to do with electro magnetics or some such thing. It's over my head, but i know it does work from experience. HH
