Not I. Current one I've been abusing since 2012

Well, I just ordered a new Garrett Pro Pointer AT. The old one still works, but doesn't have the zip it used to. I guess now it'll be my backup.

I've had mine for several years. The only time I had problems with it is when the battery started to run down. Cleaned the contacts and put a new battery in and its fine.

I have two original ProPointers since 2010. Both have lost depth. I have the Carrot for while. It also has dropped depth, just not as much since its had less miles.

I have original pro pointer and the carrot as well and mine are still golden!

I've had my Garrett Pro Pointer since 2011, it's been a great tool. However, it seems that it's not as sensitive as it used t be. Anybody else have this happen?

Yes, I have. Considering the resistance and inner workings of electrical circuits, it doesn't surprise me that eventually components wear out or fail.

I got a used Pro Pointer about 5 years ago from a friend that is now starting to loose it's sensitivity. It seems to be falsing also. It will need replaced soon but it has been one heck of a good tool and I admit that I am not easy with it. I'm impressed that is has lasted as long as it did.

Haven't noticed any diminishing depth, it does get a little weird when the battery need a changing.

Thanks for the input everybody. I ordered the new Garrett carrot from Bart at Big Boys Hobbies. I need it quick, and they do free priority shipping.

The amount of detecting I do, it's probably a good idea I have two anyway. It just feels wrong detecting without a pinpointer.

I'm also impressed mine has taken the beating and abuse and is still ticking

Got my new pinpointer today. I really like the way you can change the sensitivity settings, and especially how the sound can be turned off and it just vibrates.

Also impressed with Big Boys Hobbies, only four days from order to delivery!

I thought mine was losing some sensitivity, then I realized that it was a combo of my bad hearing and mud clogging the speaker. Cleaned it out with a toothpick and it was back to normal.

I agree with Susan... your pin pointer is probably just fine. It's you whom is losing ones sensitivity, and probably your caring and compassion for the electronic device that has given so much.
