I found this at around 5am this morning on a quick hike, I'm thinking geothite and limonite maybe but lately my identifying skills have been failing me lol anyone have an idea on what that vein/ore is?

Can you get a streak test from it? maybe hardness as well.

Hardness is less than six, a steel knife scratches it, the streak is a deep maroonish red brown color.
