Went hunting for 2 or 3 hours today. Was getting skunked when I heard a faint signal, good on the VDI but tiny sound. Dug a bullet about a foot deep. Ground is swampy; holes fill with water after about 4" deep. All bullets had a crust on them but were well preserved under the crust.
Several varieties: 3 ringers, a couple types of Williams cleaners, 69 cal musket ball and a carbine bullet. Looking forward to going back! Found some camp lead, modern coins and a grommet too.
