Got a nice 4 hour hunt this am at our permission property. I got my 15in DD coil yesterday for the Nox 800. I found a few nice artifacts that were previously missed with the 8in coil. I hope to spend a few hours this week getting this coil dialed in. So far it has not let me down!

Found this beauty (first thimble for me) at about 8in down

It has no makers mark but does have a 6-2 on it. Old script.

Two nickles. 1910 V Nickle and a 1868 Shield Nickle. Both pretty crusty.

A strange bullet completely flattened. But no shot groves in it. Looks like it was purposely flattened. I have no clue why?

I think this is a trigger mechanism? This was down about 9in.

Thanks for the look!

Great finds man! Those old Nickels are sweet and the thimble sure looks silver to me. Good stuff!

Those flattened bullets are interesting! Love the thimble, even if it is a bit damaged./. Cool stuff!

Cool finds, still looking for my first thimble, shield and V nickel. Congrats...

Got out today for about two hours with the new coil. That thing picked up a .22 shot, embedded in a root at a foot down with no problem. Straight 14 on the Nox. Today was a bullet day. I picked about 8 more out of the same field. All different sizes.

Nice thimble congrats

I love finding thimbles. I just haven't found a silver one yet. Yours does look like silver!... and you're a lucky duck to find a V Nickel and a Shield Nickel both on the same day!

Wat ta go. Congratulations

Like Wildcat, I think you were very lucky to find both a V and a Shield the same day. WTG!!

Thanks! We have been very lucky on this site! Six months on and off has yielded two V Nickles, two Shields, multiple Seated dimes, a Seated half, two Large Cents, an Indian Head penny and several wheaties. A lot of firsts for me!

what a site! it sure has been good to you. that's a site that still possibly produce later on after big rains or hard freezes.
