Prospestor Heaven

An old prospector died and was met at the pearly gates by Saint Peter.
"Where would you like to live?" asks Saint Peter.
"Somewhere up in the Mountains", he says, "With ponderosa pines, aspen trees, and lots of rushing streams",
"I'm sorry", says Saint Peter, "all of those spots are taken, you'll have to chose a city dwelling."
Then the old prospector says, "How about this, you go up in the mountains and start a rumor that gold has been discovered in Hell, and if anyone volunteers to leave, then you can give me his place, would that work for you?"
"Sure", says Saint Peter, "But I doubt that anyone will volunteer to go down there!"

An hour later Saint Peter returns to the Pearly gates and says to the Old Prospector, "Follow me"
"Did another prospector leave?" Asked the old Man.
"Are you kidding?" says Saint Peter, "They all left!"
Then The old prospector says to Saint Peter, "Excuse me , but I think I'm going to volunteer to go down there too"
"Why?" asks Saint Peter.
Then the old prospector says,"Well, if they all left, there might be some truth to that rumor!"
