So, I didn't know where else to post this, but I believe it to be some type of insulator. It is a little smaller and the glass is obviously different. There is also a hole in the side of it and it's molded that way. Also, no threading.
What is it, where would it have been used and why such fancy glass?

Thanks for any input!! Enjoy!

I'm not a smoker, and never have been, but as an engineer (electrical), I find this design rather non-functional.
At least at first glance.

It seems to me it might be hard to keep your eyes on the road and use this ashtray at the same time!

Loco, thats the first thing i felt and looked for... Then i saw the hole.... Then my imagination made me think it was some sort of night light thing.... But i held it up to the sun and quickly squashed that thought!!
Still cant get over it being an ashtray... Like, go figure. Bummer it isnt a priceless unique threadless insulator!!!
