lmao! indeed its a banner find. And with Pull tabs now officially considered historic artifacts, your argument has more weight!

When I found that tab...

My knees got weak and I collapsed... sobbing... then sniffling... then sobbing some more.......

I am sobbing now just typing this... ..... .... ....

Once the tears gave way to its magnificicantnise (heh)...

The sun struck it just right and I was nearly blinded...

Which brought more tears to my eyes...

People were stopped and looking ... at the tab of course...

They were like... "what is it man"... "what did you find" ...

I quickly hid it...

They would not understand... and might want to steal it from me...

Just then... a kid kicked sand in my eyes... which made my eyes water more.......

Which was ok ...

For it was very hot and the tears cooled me....

After spitting out all the sand...

And gently wiped away my sandy eyes...

I saw it again... I was floored by its pristineness-ness......

I knew that all my years of hard core metal detecting had finally paid off.

I have been asking museums if they would like me to lend it for display...

I polish it every day...

the tab that is...

And I walk it around the block... showing to anyone who asks to see it...

But I don't let anyone handle it... I don't want it to wear out...

The joint rivet is nice and tight and still in its original position... no movement...

Still like it was popped yesterday...

Sometimes when I smell it...

I get a whiff of misty MT dew... or Pepsi... not sure..

May have been a prototype cola...

The curl... is just....just... perfect...

Not to much or high... and not too flat... its like it was meant to be that way from the factory.

The old Ring type pull tabs used to give you an hour on the beach parking meters in SoCal back in the seventies. Please don't ask how I know his.
