I wanted to get out really bad today but it was 98 degrees and thick with humidity. So I decided to take my neighbor up on his offer to search his yard. It suited my situation because I could go back home to cool off and grab a drink.
When I first got my detector I went over my yard in every direction I could think of. In all I found a pair of wheat pennies, so I wasn't expecting much out of today. Within the first 5 minutes I found the 1950 Rosie. A few minutes later came the 1935 merc. After a full hour I had 2 mercs, a Rosie, 9 wheaties, and a silver spoon. Wow, I'll be back over later this week.

Nice finds for so close to home. Those are the kinds of sites I like...next door...lol. HH

That great. I love finding silver spoons. That one would be a good candidate for a spoon ring.

Your right. Good winter project.

Very nice...glad you said yard:laughing7:

Thanks everyone. How do I make a spoon ring? Just curious. Here in Tennessee fall winter and spring are my favorite time to hunt. Summers just too hot.

You cut off the bowl of the spoon and bend the handle to form a ring. I have seen some nice ones made.

Cool finds................Cut off the handle to the length it'll take to go around a finger, Bend around a dowel...........HH
