Purchase a Spectra VX3 or a Spectra V3I

Goodmorning everyone,
First a little background about myself. I've been in to metal detecting and had detectors on/off up until 10 years ago. So I have some experience, but I'm not an electronic's guru. The wife and I had triplets and due to time constraints I sold my detector which was a White's Spectrum XLT. I'm missing the hobby and want to get back in. I'm teetering on purchasing a Spectra VX3 or V3I, but with a $500 difference between the two, I'm asking for guidance from those who would know....what's the main difference? The main difference I see is having preset programs, which my old detector had preset programs. Thanks for any intel......

I had both. I liked the tuning abilities of the V3I and the simplicity of the VX3. The difference is in the programs. The V3I has 9 pre set programs. Also the VX3 comes with a concentric coil I believe. But to be honest, I found more with an MXT Pro and I liked the machine a lot more!!
