Purposely deteriorating zinc pennies

I was out detecting w my son and was explaining to him how cheap today's pennies are and how they deteriorate so fast.

We had the idea to put em in a cup w some salt and watch them deteriorate over time.

Do you guys have any ideas of what else we should pour on them to watch them dissolve lol?
 

The ones I found in the driveway were destroyed by the car exhaust. I saw one on a salt water beach, I parked in the same spot the day before and it wasn't there. In one day (heavy salt spray that night), it was starting to deteriorate already.

So in other words they fall apart w anything lol or some salt.
