Does it flake? If so it's mica.

Chip it out and try a magnet.

Does not flake at all. Will try and chip it out and check with magnet.

Pyrite will smash to pieces with a hammer. Gold will flatten out.

Mica.. when I chipped it out it flakes. The fakes are not magnetic.
