I had the camera trap setup for a weasel or raccoon. No carnivores yet but the male and female California quail triggered the camera.

Quail Lives Matter

In the Okanogan a mother Quail will often have a couple dozen baby's following behind.

While driving the back roads the mother will dash right in front of your vehicle, family planning.

Not the smartest bird.
