Can someone tell me if this looks good? I was told this was gold in a quartz vein. Is this “a lot” of gold by some sort of standard? What kind of quartz is this?

At first glance it look like iron staining. Spray it with acid ( bathroom cleaners) and see if it unstains. Or, just crush up the thing ( or part of it - no size scale) and pan it out.
