Question about Wire top Ball Jar found

The Jar has the number 14 on the bottom but it is reversed. Stamped inside out so to say. See pics. Anyone ever seen this before?

Nice jar Phill. It's about 75 years old and worth about ten dollars. I have found a few at a dump site. If you ever find one burried don't just pass it up as it is most likely to have coins in it! Matt
