Question from a new penny hunter,

What kind of pennies in the wheats are some of the ones to look out for, I was curious if it would be possible to get a small list going of some of the wheats to look for, or other penny's to keep your eye on, and are all S mint marks from sets?

hi idothisforfun! every wheat cent you get is worth keeping. also, for the non wheats, i keep the 1959 and 1959D, 1960 and 1960D, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1965, 1969, all S mint cents, and any Bu Au pre 1982 cents you get. these are worth face value right now, but i think people will start looking for these lower mintage, early memorials down the road. also some people are keeping all the cents 1982 and older for their copper. cents from 1968-1974 have s mintmarks becuase san franscico still made cents and nickels. but any cent 1975 and newer with a s mintmark is a proof. with nickels is 1972 and newer with an s is a proof. well, hope this helped! 8)
