Question is it a tool or just a flake.

Hard to tell from your pictures (almost focused), but it looks like one.

The difference between a flake and a utilized flake (i.e., a tool) is evidence of use as one (edge chipping).
 

Thanks for the response don't have a real good camera just my cell phone not sure if I can get very detailed pics.
 

Hard to tell from picture, could be one, but even easier to be a flake off a noddle or core piece, I have seen a lot of flakes like that where chert was plentiful. I have two cores that were used to make tools one is still large, about the size of a volley ball and the other about the size of a baseball (spent core)

I would lke to see the volleyball one T_H. That one is big. I agree hard to tell with the slight out of focus???
