Question...Why are sooooo many "buckles" found ?

And Nothing else....'metallic' near/next to/ or around is found ? This is bugging me.

What kind of buckles? I found an iron CW buckle today and a brass suspender buckle. Not hard around house sites. Also got buttons, and a bunch of other stuff.
