I found a penny at the beach. It is a 1863 Indian penny. It is black yet you can make out the markings and the Indian...how much are those worth....I would say that the condition is medium not great..thanks

If it was in perfect, yet worn, condition, you could probably get about $10 to $15 for it. Being that it is a dug coin, I'd say a couple of bucks. Still a nice find though!

I would have to agree at it being worth a couple bucks or so as a dug copper, or in your case copper/nickle coin is worth less than one that isn't dug.
Still a cool find though.
