Question

Had a new local club member ask this question, and was in hopes one of you might know the answer.

He wrote:
"Just checking to see if anyone has a Fisher F2 or F4 as I'd like to see if the 4 inch nugget coil I have for a Bounty Hunter would work on the Fisher. I spoke with the guys at American Detector and they said that they Fisher and Bounter hunter coils look identical, but the only way to find out would be to try it out on an actual detector."

I would guess no but you may want to fire off an e-mail to info@fisherlab.com and ask them.

Teknetics & Fisher coils won't talk, and none of the Bounty Hunter coils work on the F-75. The connectors might not even be the same type (I don't know that). Coils have an IC chip and it has to tuned to the detector's frequency and signals.

The BH 10 inch magnum coil and 4 inch gold coil will work on the f2 and f4. Not to mention the Fisher 11in dd coil. Non of the F75 coils will work since it's a different frequency. Even though the 11 in dd coil looks the same.
