Went out to the location I previously found my first U.S. buckle and found a few bullets and two nice Eagle I buttons. Also found an old tombac button. Does anyone know what the clasp looking thing is above the Eagle buttons? It’s the second one I found at the site. Thanks for looking and happy hunting. Nice finds RiverRat. Thanks for sharing...

Nice finds!
I think your "what is it" is a slide for a dog chain or leash clasp.
I'll try and find an example.

Nicely Done!!!

Very nice hunt, love those buttons--JB

Not a damn thing wrong with those digs RiverRat!! Are you still messing around up there on South Mountain?

Buttons look to be in really good shape. Congrats on a great hunt!

They used to use those clasps to hold cattle Gates shut. I have a pile of them

Those buttons were very deep. Could barely hear them on CTX. Was a broken signal but glad I dug. They were almost a foot down.

Congratulations on the nice CW relics! :occasion14:
