Quick hunt gets a seated!

Went detecting on my break from work. First siver of the year for me, I need to get out more, it seems like winter just ended. It was so peaceful out with the frogs and the birds, I love this spot. I have hunted this place to death but there is a lot of things still hiding. The coin is older than the nearby town by 20 years, I love that!! It is pretty beat up but shows its age! Seated coins sure dont pop out often for me. I like the pucture with the dirt better than the ceaned uo coin! Happy hunting!

What a great find...especially as you've hit this area before. From your picture, it looks like absolutely beautiful country. I'm jealous . I love wide open spaces...we don't have much of that back East.

Thank you all for the posts, I wish it was a quarter, sure find a lot more dimes. No mint mark but it sure is my oldest dime. I found a 1875 dime at this old foundation where my wife an I had hauled a vw van back in the woods by Leadville. Years later I went back to detect and found lots of pennies I had dropped. Right by the door to the foundation, and where our door to the van was, was the dime. I was new to detecting and was definitely hooked from then on for sure.

Thanks A2, the back is pretty scratchy but if it was too nice I’d probably sell it it. It will go good with the collection. Usually they are so worn down. Thanks Inspector, I’m always Happy Hunting I love the stuff you find Wash! One is bound to pop out and I hope it is mint! They sure do Rock basque especially in the old west!
