Had a chance to get out today with a friend and his 1901 House in
Central Springfield. I let him use my GTA 500 and myself the DFX. In
about two hours, we had quite a day, finding several nice coins and
some silver jewelry. It was the first time he had ever used a
machine. I tell you the GTA 500 is probably one of th best starter
machines ever! He found the 1936 Buffalo Nickel, City Bus Token,
Couple of Wheats and some new stuff... I found the 1919 Wheat, the
silver jewelry and the old shotgun base, the 43 nickel, the old gun
and more.

The cat looks familiar... maybe from the Cub or Boy Scouts? I was in both, but that was so so long ago... and I have the chronic illness CRS. Great Finds!

Nice finds there. That seems like it should be a good producing site. I been looking into a couple of scout camp sites out here in Oregon. They are on my list of sites to MD this year.
