Does anyone find it weird to collect old 1800s photos? There are lots of photos from the 1800s at the flea market for 75¢ even tin photos. But my family thinks it's creepy collecting them. My dad, on the other hand, doesn't think they are worth collecting.

I NEVER walk past them without looking. It just amazes me that you can see pictures of people well over 100 years ago - they lived their lives, had families and here you can actually see them - amazing!

I'm the same way! I'm like these people built this country. It's the same when I pick up something old like wow this was used before me, my dad and so on. Really makes me think and gives me gooses bumps.
 
Collect dead pictures.People use to post dead loved ones in life like poses and have their picture taken.
 
Could turn out useful as research tools.
