Got out today with a new buddy to try out a site or two. While it was slow at first we managed to find a few decent items by the end of the day. My total include 10 buttons (most of them 1820s-1830s with a few 1700s). While I did not get over colonial silver or copper I did score a nice 1864 indian head and an odd coin for me, an 1870 5 Centimos Spanish Provisional Government coin. Wish it were in a little better shape as it is a cool looking coin! While not the age I typically would like, it will be a neat addition to the collection. I also recovered a CW era sword belt rigging stud and some misc round balls and lead/brass scraps.

Not a tree coin, but still had fun on this day out!

Nice finds! Thanks for sharing...

Great finds. I like all of those buttons.

No silver this time, but at least you still were able to snag a few nice finds. And great job on ID'ing that copper ....

NICE BUNCH OF BUTTONS ....

Nothing wrong with a hunt like that, great collection of buttons Dan

thanks man! Had fun as always...cooled off this morning...our season is ending in a few weeks and now is when I start getting torn in two directions...face the cold in the water or go with the cool north breeze to the fields ha ha. You have 4 weeks longer than we do. I should be done by the middle to end of Sept. Bill D. will be happy for that time ha ha

Great saves. Congrats
