raider ge 100 ??

I was given a raider ge 100 a few days back and ive never metal detected before. its seems like a nice unit and I'm gonna try it here today,just wondering if this is a good starter

Made by a toy company GAMEO and new $119.95. Runs at 5.5 hz and you need earphones as NO volume control. Absolutely as low end as you can get BUT you never know till you try. I like the internal coil wires and water resistant NOT water proof though. Lots of luck, hope you have the manual. John
