Little pond on the south edge of town, about a 45 minute walk from where I live. Very popular spot for tourists and locals alike. First time I ever been there, because #1, very popular spot for tourists and locals, #2, I never could find it before. Pretty place. In the one pic that bench had a plaque on it, hard to read, but I made out it was dedicated to the memory of 'Samson, Our Golden Retriever'. Well, you couldn't help but sit down there for a minute (well I couldn't anyway), tossin a stick in the water, and see if ol Samson might show up. He didn't. I spect he was off on another adventure in the spirit world today.

Thanks for those pics and the story, really nice!

Beautiful place, would be a great spot for a retriever's afterlife, for sure.

I once came across a small clearing in the Canadian bush with a monument with a horseshoe on it, and dedicated to a faithful horse. It was dated 1929.
