Rained all day but silver on Wally World parking lot

Has rained for two days here in central Arkansas. Detector has been in the trunk for several days now. but still managed to get some silver when I spotted a quarter on the ground while walking into Walmart. Picked it up thinking it was just a clad quarter. Surprise! 1964. Hope I did this right. First attempt at adding a pic.

It pays to scan the ground. My best silver ever found was done like that. Hope your rain stops soon.

All I ever find on the ground are pennies with the heads down which my wife says is bad luck. I ask her how it can be bad luck to find money and pick it up.

Funny... I found a silver dime in the Walmart parking lot not long ago... but I never find any in my change. Maybe people get silver and foreign coins in their coin star return and just chuck them in the parking lot. Hahaha

Last one I found above ground was a few years ago, I kept putting a quarter in a soda machine at work and it kept getting rejected. I finally looked closer an saw it was a 1962 silver quarter (must have received it in change earlier) thought it was strange that it didn't work in the vending machine.

Thanks everyone. I haven't found any silver all year so far except this one. Too bad it was scratched, but then again it is not a key date.
