Ace, I have spent a lot of time looking at old maps in Clerk of Court Offices. They have to maintain those records. Some counties have gone to digitized maps to prevent them from being lost. Jones County, Mississippi, lost all of their records in a fire at the Courthouse. But, there are records from when it was part of Wayne and Covington counties in the early 1800's.
