Hello all! I got out Saturday & yesterday to do some hunting & found a few keepers. My favorite find was a 1912 Coca Cola bottle manufactured in Chester SC. I know its a fairly rare one & I can't find much online. Even though I don't plan on selling it I'm interested to see how much it's worth. Any insight from bottle collectors would be appreciated. I found a nice assortment of other relics as well. The IHs are always hit or miss. The back is beautiful & the front is toast?!! Thanks for looking & HH!

Nice ! I like that Coca-Cola Bottle & the lead seals

nice digs, congrats on your bottle, not sure about the whatsit,it kind of reminds me of a fishing real gear?

I think the "what is it" is the mechanism that pushes the wick up and down within an oil lamp.
Nice relics!

Nice! Congrats! Hope the bottle is a real rare one for ya!
Are you sure the ring isn't silver the front edge on it looks shinny?

Show that bottle at ANTIQUE BOTTLES.NET they will help you with information.....Joe McDonough

Thats a sweet bottle. Cool how it was embossed on the bottom also. Show piece for the man cave.

sent from a sending device.

A quick ebay look for 1900-1916 (date range where Coca-Cola made "straight side" bottle designed like yours) return a wide swath of results. Rare hole in the wall towns are highly sought after and can range up to three and four hundred for a single bottle. This can be due to rarity as well as collector value i.e. someone looking to complete a set. With yours, I found similar bottles 6.5 oz size, made in S.C. (a few from anderson s.c. popped up) with the same straight sides, town location and Coca Cola script all found in the same places going anywhere from 150-200 (final sales price). Possible yours could fetch that.

Further investigation is needed though as some bottles only get 10 to 20 that are also old like yours but may have come from a more highly active manufacturing spot hence many more of them to be had. As was mentioned before maybe throwing a pic or two up on a antique bottle collection site (ready buyers) may get you a better estimate of the true market for these items. Nice bottle. I'm a Pepsi man...but every once in awhile I come to the dark side ;) I always did kinda a prefer cherry coke to its pepsi counterpart.

Nice variety of goodies there, Congrats. Love the Coke bottle and the bale seals, way to go!

The coke bottle definitely looks like an ABM..imho
Those came out in the late teens & 20s right? Coke introduced the new bottle design in 1915. I also found another online

Thanks for the help! Chester is a hole in the wall town so hopefully it's worth a bit more. I rarely find bottles so this was a nice surprise

it's definitely plated

Given the shape, top etc. I would probably say 40's-50's. I usually don't bother with bottles in the ABM (automatic bottle machine) age.
maybe this picture will help.

Nice lead seals buddy! Let us know what you learn about the bottle bud

not even close to the 1915 design... I'm confident in the date being 1912. It's straight sided...

Hello,
Nice finds! If your "what is it" is about 2" in diameter, it might be the center gear for an old hand cranked egg beater. My mom had her "antique" beater wired on the kitchen wall at home for years with several other obsolete kitchen tools.
Good Luck,
Phil

Sorry I couldn't fit it all in one shot but the $120 corresponds to that bottle

The date range for the straight sided is 1902-1915
