If it's authentic, I'll be pleased to know its attribution. Meanwhile, it appears to these eyes to be a replica (or a commemorative) from the town of Hamlen (sometimes referred to as Hamlin or Hamelin) made famous in the legend of the Pied Piper. The funny looking "X" after the 'N' in Hameln is not a Roman 'X' but rather the mark of the mint official in the year 1625; at least that is consistent.
