Had some really great finds today.
My first tin photograph maybe around 1920’s era. Also a Flat button from R&W Robinson from around 1820-1840’s. Also got onto a few silvers. All found In A little yard in town. Great digging today.

the photograph is a really cool and uncommon find. My personal opinion is that it's older than 1920's and more likely 1880's-ish

I really have no idea how to get it dated I guessed 1920. Someone said go by the hair style

I agree with earlier than 1920. Tintype's greatest use was from about 1860 to 1880 but some use continued into the 20th century, mostly at fairs. So 1920 is possible but earlier is more likely. By 1920, the film we were familiar with until the digital took over was commonly available.
Really neat find1 A silver image on tin that lasted in the ground.
