`Ken,

I honestly do not know what kind of badge/medallion you have found. It looks to be in very nice condition for the age. My guesses are a railroad badge or a bus driver's ID bag. I think the number 1050 is an employee number and the 2 might be the route number. Port Authority of Allegheny County (PAT) bus started in 1964. I would check with the Heinz History Center, in the strip district of Pittsburgh. They may be able to help you more. Hope it helps.

Found this recently and haven't been able to find much info on it. Any help would be appreciated.
Thaks Ken

Looks like a Coal Mine tag. The tag is from the person who loaded the coal into the cart. This tag is the way they keep track of paying workers for a hard days labor. I may be wrong???

Before the Port Authority there was the Pennsylvania railway which had fare tokens. They were streetcars. Check to see if that's one of them. I found one and know they only made those for a couple years. Not sure where I got mine stashed here at home but that 1922 date sounds familiar.
