Recent finds: Ranging from CW lead, flat buttons, wheaties and 48 canadian coins.

The day before thanksgiving I went out with my cousin and buddy from work early. Finds were kinda slim. Found 3 flat buttons, one which was pewter and was nearly gone all but the shank, also found a '44 wheatie, part of a pewter spoon and a small CW pistol bullet. Cousin found a nice 1903 indian and Sam(from work) found an extremely worn 1789(almost the only thing that was readable was the date, imagine that) spanish 1 reale. But he still had the best find and only silver that day.

Yesterday I went out to the local school and ball fields right down the road since it was close. First I went to the ball field and found your average clad, but what wasn't so average was I found a large canadian penny coin spill. 48 total, but was probably more there I just got tired of diggin' lol. Some kid probably took his dads coins(or coins his dad GAVE him) and decided to throw them all on the ground. Dates on them range from early 40's to 80's. Also found a '51 wheatie at the ball park. Then I headed over to the middle school. I found a bit of clad. I worked my way all the way back to the fence next to a corn field on the other side. That's where I came across a large copper. Unfortunately and with my luck, of course I find a large copper somewhere like a school ground and it's completely worn and can't make anything out. Still cool. Also found 3 CW burnsides. Thanks for looking and until next time! HH!

Sounds like a super day to me! Nice bag of goodies for sure!

Nice finds Matt!! We dig some of those Canadian pennies here too. Were the bullets solid or cone bases? HH, Quindy.
