So I've been doing a lot of pennies recently, and just started keeping track of what I've been finding. Well here are my results.

3-5 -$6 nickels - I pre 60, $30 halfs- nothing, $25 pennies- 1- panama cent, 4- 1959, 4- Canadian, 7- wheats

3-6 - $44 halfs- nothing, $50 nickels- all new, $25 pennies- 1 Indian head, 7-Canadian, 8- 1959, 12-wheats

3-7 -$25 pennies- 16-wheats, 7-1959, 11-Canadian, plus 2 wheats the teller had in her tray

3-9 -$25 pennies- 14- wheats, 9-1959, 6 Canadian

3-10 -$50 pennies- 16 Canadian, 11- 1959, 1- panama, 1- Bahamas, 19- wheats. I also found 2 with stamps of a face facing Lincoln?

Nothing great, but I was pretty stoked about the Indian head, even though my little brother found it. We're working on a penny book for him. Oldest we found for his book was 1909, but not too many pre 40 yet.

Why do you keep the 1959 cents?

Not sure why I keep the 59's to be honest. Just something else to look for.
The Indian head is an 1881, but looks like it got ran over by a lawn mower. The date is still readable though. Was still happy to find.
I've found a few old Canadian pennies, I have the following dates.
1942, 1943, 1946, 1949, 1956, 1957, 1957, 1958, and a 1960. With a lot of newer ones as well.
Here's some more finds.
3-13- $25 pennies- 1- Deutschland, 3- 1959's, 5- Canadian, 12- wheats
$10 halfs- nothing

3-14- $100 pennies- box 1- 11- wheats, 6- 1959's, 3- Canadian, 1- Hong Kong
Box 2- 10- wheats, 4- 1959's, 4- Canadians
Box 3- 14 wheats, 9- 1959's, 7 Canadians
And I still have one box to do tonight. I'll keep posting my results in this thread.

Tyler, why aren't you stacking the unwanted copper? You've already checked the dates!

Look for cams and wams nuff said there are actually a lot of other errors for cents.

I am, I have about $100 in copper right now. Just don't post about finding a bunch if those. I've been finding about 30% of however much I search so far. Haven't found any errors yet that I know of, but do you care to explain cams and wams?

Unno much about cams other then the 1992 on the reverse side of it look at the america the a and n will be close to each other or touching when I mean close I mean like close close. Take a look at one of you're copper cents a normal 92 will look like that the rare ones are close hence why they call It a cam (close a m) the d mint marks are not as rare as the p one of the p mint marks sold for 22k at a auction. It needs to be graded by pcgs to get that kind of money a d will sell for quite a bit to 100+ but they are not as rare.

As for wams these are going to be wide am. The opposite of the 92s they range in 1998 99 and 2000. They sell for a pretty Pennie also. Of course a graded coin well sell for alloy more then a non graded error. You can train yourself by pulling all the 98-00 and throwing them in a cup then take any copper coin and throw a couple in with the 98s-00 and don't date check them just look at the reverse if you pull all the non 98-00 out (unless its a real wam) then you have just learned how that error and you'll spot it all the time. That's how I learned but I haven't found any wams but I have found a 1992d cam a couple days ago.

Wams seem to hate me I shouldn't find a cam before a wam!

Anyways happy hunting I hope you find a $20,000 coin :) don't get you're hopes up like you're going to get rich off CRH remember its a hobby. Not a get rich quick scheme that a lot of other sites make it out to be. There is profit in this hobby as I can see you're already saving copper. CRH is sort of like a casino 65% of the time you lose 34% of the time you a little bit 1% of the time you win a huge amount.

Thanks, I appreciate the explanation. That's something else for me to keep an eye out for now. I don't do it for the money, just for fun and excitement :)

3-15-$52 nickels-11pre 60- $25 pennies- 9-1959's, 5- Canadian, 15 wheat pennies
I've done 14 boxes of pennies now, in about 2 weeks. Plus what ever loose rolls I've gotten. I'm at about $1.60 in duplicate wheat pennies. I'm filling out the book with my little brother and he doesn't need too many more in the 41 and up book, mainly the steel pennies and a few random ones. His 1909-1940 book still has a lot of holes, but we've been slowly plugging away at it.

3-17- $70 halves- nothing - 1 war nickel found in brothers change jar

I'm going to sell my first $100 in copper pennies tomorrow, and when I got done counting my bucket I was about $1 short. I was looking through my brothers change jar, and found a war nickel. The strange thing is I was going to get a box of nickels today but didn't have enough. Oh ya, I'm still $.50 short of $100, but I'm sure I can find that.

3-21- $100 nickels- 1 Canadian- 28 pre 60- 3 war nickels
$125 dimes- nothing, but I thought this one looked off center? What do you guys think.

3-24- $100 nickels- 1 war nickel- 1 1936 buffalo nickel, a first for me.
3-25 $25 pennies- 12 wheat- 5 Canadian

That buffalo looks in great condition with near full horn. And those halves look like they're in AU/UNC condition - where did u get those?

The halves all came from a teller tray. One day I went in and they had 8, all silver, and the next day I went back and they had 2 more, also both silver. Those are the only silver halves I've found so far. The last 2 aren't as nice but still pretty decent.

Some nice finds. Too bad the IH is in such rough shape but your first buffalo and half dollar finds look like beauties!

HH!

Thanks, here's a better picture of the halves. I was pretty happy with the buffalo also. My little brother was the one who found the Indian head and even though it's rough, he still gets excited talking about it.
