Recognize this bullet?

I was hunting a civil war camp this evening and found a few bullets, knapsack hook, and an eagle cuff button. There is one bullet I don't recognize, anyone seen the one on the left in the pictures. Thanks for looking.

I believe that's a modern black powder muzzle loader bullet know as a JADCO buffalo bullet.

The one on the right looks like a 58 cal Union bullet

Although I am a novice in bullets, all I can find with knurled edges are modern ones. I have checked Thomas's A Handbook of Civil War Bullets and Cartridges, and can find none there.
