My wife purchased me a Discover 3300 a while back i know its not classified as a great detector and she uses it more than i usually when i am gold prospecting gives her something to do. Any how is there a better coil for this unit that would be recommended....

The Fisher F-2 & F-4 11"DD coil with push in connector will work real well, I have a NEL 12" Hunter coil on a Discovery 2200. Nothing wrong with the Discovery 3300,,,its a good unit just go slow with it. 11-12" DD coils will give you better separation and a bit more depth as well as better performance in mineralized ground. smaller 4-5" great in trashy areas. Good luck!!

i love the stock coil on my 3300. and i have to dissagree with u the 3300 is a great machine. has a bad rep because its bh and inexpensive but its can hunt for sure. ive seen other detector swing over a target that my 3300 picked up and they couldnt see it,thru the trash the operators told me "its iron" dug it any way and it was a silver dime. even if i upgrade i will allways have my 3300 awsome coin machine peroid
