These were all found at a SW Georgia School football field. These were found using both my BH3300 and the Whites CM-Pro.....trading off & on through out the hunt!! I do not use a pin pointer. Also found a School Band member's, button about 8 inches deep.

Nice finds wlb42!

Nice quarter count the site Ive been doing seems to be like a dry county :tongue3: got total of two clad quarters yesterday and the drizzling rain didn't help much all my equipment got grungy dirty, sand can be irritating also :laughing7:

Thanks for the comments!!......My hunting buddy, John, also found a 1971 clad half, over 50 clad quarters, 45 clad dimes, 10 nickels, and lots of cents.......AND we still are not finished with this site yet.........HH to All......Bill

The football field I'm currently doing at my local grade school has been very similar.
Take away the fact that I also use a BH 3300 with no pin pointer (yet), and my only wheat cent
at the field was a 1947 D, I have dug $26.46 in clad which included $21 of quarters, $5 in dimes, 2 nickels, and the rest
were copper pennies. This has been a total of about 7 hours. I havnt finished this field yet and still have two baseball
fields as well.

Those quarters ring like a bell in the 120's with the 3300...very rarely get fooled with a quarter signal..mostly matchbox cars if not a quarter.
No silver coins for me yet at this location, but I did find two pieces of silver at the field..a 925 Disney Skull & Cross Bones with a 925 Italy chain, and a very old and pitted 925 silver engagement ring with a stone..which I think isn't real, being set in silver, but its a pretty decent sized stone and the ring does appear to have 057 stamped just ahead of the 925 hallmark.

Oh, will also add that about $3 of the total quarters were surface finds and 3 holes were coin spills..

Spill #1: 4 quarters
Spill #2: 1 quarter, 2 dimes
Spill #3: 4 dimes

On a new field like this where I expect to find lots of clad, I will set my discrimination all the way up to max.
Dig all the high tones which are copper pennies, dimes and quarters.

Once I feel I have most of those cleared I will back off the discrimination
and start digging the 70 and 80 tones looking for silver rings and such..most being
shinny bottle caps, soda can slaw, or toasted zincs.

I rarely dig gold range signals because of the trash ratio and just wasted time..unless its a shallow consistent signal because rings tend to get caught in grass roots.
