Went out for a walk at the mansion today. Five hours, not a single coin. But, after the weather we've been having, I enjoyed every minute!
Here's the over all:

A soldier who went to pieces.

About a half pound of lead.

3 pieces of lead, the middle one is sort of squarish and might be one that was whittled on a bit.

Either a button or a knob off something.

Gotta watch those little bits of unidentified pieces of metal.
I didn't even know this was a piece of jewelry in the field.
Let alone the 4 stones! LOL

And this one, I just figured, too late, just a broken bit of an old buckle.
But, turn it over and clean it up a bit and it becomes very interesting!

Like I said, watch those "scrap" pieces of metal!

Like this bent piece of twisted wire that almost got put in the trash pouch.
'Til I noticed the patina and the shine.
Turn it over and....

Viola!!!
And what's more:

ALSO, it weighs a good 12 grams!
Almost as good as finding 6 silver dimes in one hole! LOL
Thanks for peeking!
HH!
